It means taking on the legacy of civilization, traditions, symbols, without mechanically reproposing them in archaic forms; it means not judging the past with the lens of the present, not processing or erasing history because it differs from today&#8217;s sensibilities, but recognizing history as it is and then distinguishing what is alive and what is dead, what is always valid and what has passed away, with realism; without confusing the historical level with the judicial one and the judicial level with the moral and ideological one.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Difendere la civilt\u00e0 non significa voler tornare indietro ed esaltare la guerra, la supremazia maschile, lo schiavismo, l\u2019odio di classe o razziale.
