Niccolò Machiavelli…discharge

The ‘court’ of San Mauro Pascoli (Italy) acquitted Niccolò Machiavelli with full formula: 81 votes for the sentence, 600 for the acquittal. A verdict without appeal in front of an audience of 800 people, which once again confirmed – by raising the shovel – the “guaranteed” soul of Romagna in the traditional historical processes of August at the Torre Pascoliana.
The debate, coordinated by the president of the Court Miro Gori, was lit between the two contenders, the political scientists Carlo Galli (accusation) and Maurizio Viroli (defense). Galli, a professor at the University of Bologna, accused Machiavelli of utopianism and excessive centrality of politics.
