Leggera risacca

Di mattino presto, avevo sistemato una delle sedie di plastica presa al bar, sulla battigia del lido di Fondachello; così accomodata, mia madre (milanese sino al midollo) sorrideva al mare, godendosi i raggi tiepidi del mattino.

Il bisbiglio della piccola risacca accompagnava al cuore i ricordi della mente: momenti di una vita combattuta, amata, sofferta e profondamente vissuta…profonda più del mare, più limpida che quel cielo che abbracciava, sulla spiaggia di Sicilia, quella donna infragilita dagli anni.

Oggi, questo è il ricordo che lega i miei anni passati in mare con il ricordo di mia madre. Lei sapeva che sarei tornato, anche se non avrei mai smesso di viaggiare sul mare o nel mondo…così è stato e lei ha sempre perdonato le mie assenze.

Mia madre ed io abbiamo l’oceano nell’anima: il suo mare grande d’amore e le mie maree d’emozioni, d’umori e sogni.

Da tanti anni ho smesso di navigare, ma non ho mai lasciato l’instabile ricerca di quella famosa isola che, forse, non c’è.

Mia madre è mancata da pochi mesi e quella leggera risacca è nel mio cuore come una sua continua carezza.

Un bacio senza consenso è un bacio rubato e, come tale, potrebbe essere il preludio a qualcosa di ambiguo, molto ambiguo. E pure a qualcosa che potrebbe creare uno scompenso psicologico, una turba. E finanche, e attenzione qui: potrebbe essere qualcosa di turpe che porterebbe irrimediabilmente a uno stupro. Sipario.

Insomma, il Principe Azzurro adesso non è nemmeno più libero di dare un bacio alla sua Biancaneve.

La Cina verso il primo calo della popolazione in 70 anni

“La Cina ha posticipato la pubblicazione del nuovo censimento (il settimo), ma nega che, come sostenuto dal Financial Times, il documento certifichi il primo declino demografico del paese dai tempi del disastroso “balzo in avanti” voluto da Mao Zedong negli anni Cinquanta.

Il quotidiano cinese Global Times afferma che se i nuovi calcoli ufficiali indicheranno una popolazione inferiore all’1,4 miliardi registrati nel 2019 è probabile che ci sia stato un errore statistico in precedenza. Il censimento sarebbe infatti più accurato delle relazioni redatte annualmente. A ogni modo, la testata sostiene che la diminuzione del numero di abitanti dovrebbe iniziare nel 2022, ponendo fine a un quinquennio di crescita.

La crescita demografica è un fattore determinante nello sviluppo di una collettività. In particolare, le grandi potenze hanno bisogno di una popolazione giovane per perseguire le loro ambizioni geopolitiche.

It is necessary to understand that the technology that will drive the energy transition, whether through green mobility or renewable energy, is mineral-intensive.

Copper, zinc and aluminum are used in the production of photovoltaic panels, wind turbines and electric vehicles.

The consumption of these metals is set to increase dramatically with the development of energy and green mobility, especially since these technologies are particularly mineral-intensive. An offshore wind farm requires 17 times more metal than a gas-fired power plant of the same capacity, an onshore wind farm eight times more and a photovoltaic park nine times more.

Copper is a key component in the energy transition: while a natural gas power plant needs a ton of copper to produce one megawatt of electricity, it takes twice as much to produce the same amount of energy with onshore wind and three times as much for photovoltaic panels.

The same goes for electric vehicles, which require three to four times more copper than internal combustion vehicles.

All these metals have a common denominator: they are produced by the mining industry, often by companies whose mining or transport activities are often the subject of controversy, with practices that are criticized or even discredited, by those who promote the cause of sustainable development

Curia Regis” in Latin means “king’s court.” It is also termed as King’s Court or Aula Regis. Curia Regis refers to the Norman English court with a body of advisors, who traveled with the king, advised him on political matters and acted as an appellate court in complicated cases. Later, the functions of the curia regis became exclusively judicial in nature.

Il Re è la fonte di ogni potere, egli quindi in linea teorica ha anche il potere di risolvere le controversie. Tuttavia se da un lato il re organizza un proprio Tribunale (Curia Regis), dall’altra parte riserva a tale Corte unicamente le cause dal suo punto di vista più importanti: la Curia Regis ha competenza a risolvere le cause relative alle finanze regie, all’investitura dei vassalli, alla proprietà ed al possesso dei beni immobili, nonché alle cause penali fonte di pericolo per la pace del Regno. Il Re è direttamente a capo della Curia Regis.
Per tutte le altre cause vengono istituiti dei Tribunali locali: le Corti Baronali. Esse sono strutturate nel singolo feudo, coordinate dal signore feudale.

Classic super yacht Nahlin

Classic superyacht Nahlin celebrates 91st birthday

The extraordinary motor yacht was part of a fifteen year campaign to rescue the steamship from dilapidation in Romania, in which her designers G. L. Watson & Co, were the major instigator. Nicholas Edmiston and a yachtsman named William Collier discovered the vessel in dire straits, and after 15 years of negotiation, returned the vessel to the United Kingdom in 1999.

German shipyard Nobiskrug undertook the body of the restorative work during a monumental rebuild between 2005 and 2010, while G. L. Watson & Co oversaw and project managed the rebuild. Blohm & Voss Repair GmbH in Hamburg were charged with her engineering.

The classic superyacht now has diesel engines, and her contemporary interiors were designed by Rémi Tessier. She has a top speed of 18 knots.

VIVA I CONTANTI

Perché questo libro?

Da quando esiste il denaro, pagare in contanti è la cosa più naturale di questo mondo. Ed è sempre filato tutto liscio, finché le banche non hanno scoperto di potere raschiare via soldi anche da lì.

Hanno così inventato la guerra ai contanti o, per darle più autorevolezza, la War on Cash. Furbescamente hanno messo in giro la storiella della lotta all’evasione. Così hanno tirato dalla loro parte anche persone oneste e alcune forze politiche.

In realtà varie ricerche e valutazioni di economisti non omologati attestano la scarsissima utilità della lotta al contante contro l’evasione fiscale, a fronte di gravi controindicazioni (cap. 8). A proposito, pure i telefonini facilitano attività criminali: bisogna proibire anche i cellulari? A banche e società per i pagamenti elettronici non importa nulla della legalità, il loro unico obiettivo è fare una cresta ogni volta che uno compra qualcosa.

Che gli italiani usino troppo i contanti è una frottola. Li usano quanto i tedeschi, ma in Germania nessuno li colpevolizza. Anzi, la loro banca centrale difende in tutti i modi il denaro contante, all’opposto di quella italiana (cap. 9). Già, mala Bundesbank ha a cuore l’interesse dei suoi concittadini, la Banca d’Italia quello dei banchieri. Un’altra trovata senza prove è che il contante sia fonte di contagio per il coronavirus (cap. 4).

Comunque i contanti convengono non solo a chi li riceve (commercianti, artigiani ecc.) ma anche ai consumatori (cap. 1). Il piano Cashless col cashback, la lotteria degli scontrini, i crediti d’imposta ecc. non ribaltano il discorso. Anzi lo peggiorano, pesando per 4,7 miliardi sul non florido bilancio dello Stato italiano (cap. 5).

A parte i pagamenti, i contanti sono insostituibili come riserva di valore. I soldi su conti e libretti sono moneta bancaria e le banche possono fallire. Le banconote sono la moneta della banca centrale, che non fallisce.

Questo libro contiene anche consigli pratici. Riporta la normativa su banconote, cassette di sicurezza ecc., e confronta con pregi e difetti per un risparmiatore (cap. 21):
